The best was a woman who had been in a car crash, had a back injury, was being kicked out (illegally of course) by her current landlord and the insurance company,  had a new baby,   was being unfairly harrassed by some govt agency  (forget which one) and whose adult son needed to stay with her but he couldn't be available to meet for viewing the apartment or signing the lease,  amongst a bunch of other things I don't really remember.

I've had a couple strange inquiries come through AirBNB recently.One was from a woman who wanted to rent my place for 3+ months, only paying one month at a time, and requested that I block off future months so that no one else could book my rental.Another was from a gentleman who identified himself as a traveling medical professional and wanted to book my rental outside of AirBNB, then reveals how he's cash-strapped because of a family matter, yada yada...I declined both.

I was planning on doing some digging on the company if/when they provide that info and also requiring a personal guarantee and signature from the owner.The part that really struck me as odd was that it was a man and woman that came to view the apartment, they looked at the place and asked a bunch of questions, then just before leaving the man asked about putting his company on the lease.
