If they know they can control the situation/ignore you and get away with it you will be in for a ride.

I've learnt my lessons and can ride out the short term losses and I am looking forward to ensuring that my tenant does not get to rent easily for a long time.

I have put days of work into helping her understand the process, answering question, going through her emotional roller coaster ride, etc.

It might make a lot of sense for a 70 year old to donate a piece of their business as part of their overall estate and giving plan before they sell the business and retire and ride off into the sunset. 

I am the first one to acknowledge that a house transaction has far more risk than a car ride, so clearly they have barriers.

There's also a stable down the street from us where people can ride horses.
