Their sense of entitlement has distanced us and caused me to grow a thicker skin.

If you're really wanting to be anal about it, there are a number of rubberized coatings you can add to the wood to further seal it but I have no experience with those.

Made major improvement inside the units, updated the flooring, bathroom, and kitchen cabinets as well as a fresh coat of paint inside and the exterior.
