No problem if the salary structure is the same, but if there is any sort of commission income involved, and you need that commission income to qualify for the refi then waiting could cause issues.

So it does appear to be possible to get an FHA 203k loan for a 5-unit & convert to a 4-unit.When possible, aim for the Limited (aka Streamline) 203k loan, as it's less complex, not required to get an FHA consultant, etc.Of course, this is based of the two following important assumptions:1) zoning allows for this2) and obviously I owner occupy for at least 12 months3) the total purchase price + renovations are within the FHA loan limits specific to my areaWhat I'm confused about is the timeline or chronological order of the process?

Multiple ADUs on any is not allowed, but I have only heard of it being an issue in SF zoned areas or if unit count hits 5.If you want to be sure of getting non-commercial F/F follow the rules.

I cant speak for every deal they have ever done, but I will say that any deals That I was involved in with safeguard and there was any issue whatsoever they jumped in and worked diligently to solve the issue as if it was there own money.
