Home is centrally located 10 minutes from Long Beach Airport, Convention center, Aquarium/Downtown and 15 minutes to CSULB.My initial thought was to pull a home equity mortgage to finish the addition and tailor it towards AirBNB & short term room rentals to pay back the loan.

We're not in what most people would be called casual walking distance, although it's only about a mile out, but people don't really mind as long as they are close to the strip, People rightfully don't want to or need to leave the center of town - Airport, Convention Center, Strip, Downtown - so the more equidistant you can be to those the better.

It's a very spread-out city with the big shopping malls way up the highway and the airport far south, and even the 'downtown' is spread out.

In town, it's small-town, 1 grocery store, car wash, a new post office, nice school and some old time buildings.. but now the millennials are buying homes there, and making the drive to the airport, Learjet and even Koch Industries, just for that oasis of home at night.There are other places.. within the city, that should never be left out.. but hopefully this gives you a long-winded overview of our area.

I could move there tomorrow and buy 5,000 houses if I wanted to.. but I don't want to.. other areas I like better and I would not enjoy the winter months at all.I really liked being there in the summer though down by the lake and if I lived there I would have a nice boat and live in one of those mansions in Grosse Point.. any city is great to live in if you have enough means.. the other thing from a business man perspective is I loved staying at the hotel at the airport and walking through their security line.. most convientant.
