In low-income areas, pit bulls/rotweillers/german shepherds are prevalent because they are seen as weapons/protection, that's why they are chained right outside the front or back door.

just a suggestion and maybe its not germane in your case but it sure has saved me over the years wasting time and =money on a property the seller either new had buggered title and thought it would go away or the seller simply did not know and has no means to remedy.

The Germans were unable to destroy it by bombing in the 1940s, the Socialists weren’t able to destroy it by economic policies in 1945-1950 and 1972-1975, and the internet work from “anywhere” culture hasn’t been able to destroy it now.
