I was in the middle of bidding on our first rental home last week when a smaller wildfire broke out about 4 miles up the road and everything stopped because we can't get insurance.  

The property is 100 miles away from me.

Would like to get your thoughts on the purchase of a 32 unit storage facility on a .29 acre parcel located in a small town (+/- 3,000 people) 50ish miles outside of Austin, Texas.

I like the phrase that Josh Dorkin  uses that within a 50 mile radius  you can find a good deal.  

Often you can get a lot more for less money just by going another mile or two away from Disney.

A employee of ours father owned a business in Denver and owned three commercial buildings in the "green mile" area. 

I can recommend a good tree trimmer in southeast Houston if anyone needs one.So after doing some thinking and analyzing the numbers, I am leaning towards making this a rental.

Bandon is on the Oregon coast.. and Sunriver is 150 miles or so inland..
