unless you plan on never selling which of course most investors that start in this that's the second thing out of their mouths first thing is appreciation is gambling.. second is we are long term never going to sell.. 

Starting your own business is a huge gamble, most fail quickly.....The only RE I ever did that was 'relatively easy'  is STRs....but still, high risk, hard work, all day every day.....

Not sure on the income requirement.. in the states as long as your paying tax on gambling winnings you can be a professional gambler and use that income for loan purposes.WElcome to BP.. hope you make some great connections here.

I just received the letter for my 2018 tax revaluation last week and I'm not thrilled to say the least. 

I'll be happy--thrilled--to find a buyer's agent is a better negotiator than I am!!

I was absolutely thrilled about it, this site contains vast amounts of information while staying free!

That said I think there's some gambling going on.

Not sure why anyone is surprised that STR financing is tightening up.Hotels and gambling are hardest hit during recessions.

This allows you to build equity, experience the "thrill" of being a landlord, and expand your skill set for bigger and brighter things.
