Then committ to becoming excellent at it.Look at your strengths and what you enjoy, if you have an amazing ability as mentioned to create and build things, I suspect you will be much better off using those to build something, than you will be sitting through real estate classes That potentially bore you to tears, and teach you not much about rehabbing.A man with one watch knows what time it is, a man with two or three is never quite certain.

It would take a long time to recoup 20k with $100/mo in rent.Since it will be next door, you also have to consider how having a two story or one story next to you will impact your own house/yard and your enjoyment of it.
