This is old news.He has taken leave of absences before.He had Pancreatic cancer before which is the deadliest form of cancer to get.There are different types of Pancreatic cancer and the least severe one has about a 5% survival rate to give you an idea.Jobs has had organ transplants and other procedures over the years to keep prolonging his life.He has known for some time he is not cured but delaying the inevitable.They have been planning his departure for years.This is not a chock the company wasn't expecting.I really don't think all that much will happen in the long term.Just because he will not be running the day to day operations does not mean he will not have any input on the direction or innovation of the company moving forward.Many owners retire but still sit on the board and give input.

Here in Phoenix, we are very seasonal and have transplants from everywhere.

A good friend of mine just moved into a rental over in Eastwood and I've been meaning to check it out (as a New Jersey transplant, I haven't explored much outside of central B'more neighborhoods).   

I am in the market of purchasing a rental property, so that I can live rent free and start on my journey of real estate investing. 

I am a south Florida transplant to Dallas.  

Neil, My interpretation of the 30 Basis points vs 1.6% job growth is that a lot of people are moving to these areas and new transplants are getting a lot of these new jobs hence the 1.6% increase in "headcounts".

My guess is that they figure that to sell it and not make a profit (or very little profit) it makes more sense to stop paying and live rent free until they are forced to leave during foreclosure process.

If you own 2 duplexes, and the tenants rents pay all expenses, including taxes.... you live rent-free, and you already have a better situation (before you retire) than what the average person has when they retire.
