I almost at a point where I don't even bother with home inspectors.Some other common issues with older houses, particularly if you will be renting:  lead paint, asbestos, mold (although I find older houses are leaky enough that, as long as the roof drains well, air movement through the building is good and prevents moisture buildup), steep staircases, narrow hallways.But you MUST MUST MUST do a walk-through with an experienced contractor (one who specifically has experience renovating older houses/buildings) prior to placing an offer.  

Paying for and becoming an agent of some broker JUST to get access to MLS - - (i'll be kind here - - ) is expensive.Don't bother UNLESS you want to be a part time RE Agent and perform open houses

Patrice Boenzi yes you are correct the bank would have to approve the offer on the S.S. which we are aware of but what really bothers me is that my realtor waited almost 24 hours to tell us that our offer, which we thought was accepted, was not. 

If this is your first single family home, I wouldn't bother with the LLC.  

Or just don't bother to change the registration and rip up the "contract of sale" once I am done.

If not enough equity capture, then don't bother.

I'm not going to even bother looking at their site.....you don't get an unsecured cash line of credit for $60k without some substantial/decent financials, and a business history.....period.
