My "day job" is running tech (mostly software dev) for an internet startup, but I'm realizing that I'm not a city guy and all of the demand for my tech leadership skills force me to be in New York City.

They all transferred here from other countries, and have come to realize that the homes in this area are extremely high.  

:-]I actually DID drive by the properties to the individuals I was going to send that particular letter out to though, though I realized the "pile of cash" part sounded tacky, thanks again for confirming that realization!

They key is to realize they are all different.

I realize this is a small win to some of you on here, but for me it's helped me prove to myself that I can really do this and do it well.

It's not listed, and they probably didn't even realize they wanted to sell it until they got my letter in the mail.

Also realize that it's not unusual for altisource to choose to let properties sit for a long loooonnng time not accepting the real value of a property. 

I realize Houston is a huge market, but what are some % of value ranges that fellow investors are seeing for rental properties?

And if it does, I leave, realizing that time and circumstances change people's minds more so than I ever could.So - why were you talking to this "not really a seller at all" in the first place?
