I agree with Sam also you want to stay in like neighborhoods.If you are doing research and you see a duplex next to a house then next to a shopping mall ,and then then next to a gas station houses will move slow in that area .Most buyers want to live in a residential neighborhood  with houses around them.What I do is I stick to cookie cutter streets   https://plus.google.com/u/0/103653014609169113080

I am looking for 4 units MFH in Houston, Dallas, Austin, Tyler, College Station and San Antonio Area.

Pigtown seems to be coming back, station north, Remington, Near Johns Hopkins hospital or University.

As long as you live in the house for 12 months and still have  VA entitlement left you can then buy s second home at your new duty station.

We have been blessed to have them as they are good tenants (Military Officers-we live near a base) but unfortunately, they are being re-stationed at the end of the year and need to move.

In an attempt to give you a better sense of who I am:I have a mortgage on a single family residential that I live out of.I have a mortgage I am paying on two gas stations.I would prefer to find an investment that is a gas station. 

Seems that he is currently a soldier stationed not far away.

Am even thinking about going to the local police/sheriff station to get information about recent crimes in the area.If all of the above check out to be satisfactory, then I'm willing to pull the trigger.What do you all think?
