I'd bet they don't have anywhere to move and are stringing you along until they find a place.

@Kenneth Bedwell A lease option assignment is where you put the property under contract with the seller but instead of sub-lease optioning it to your T/B, you sell the contract to them and have no further involvement in the deal.

"Relocating due to military obligations/service" or something a little more fancy then that would be the closest I would do to acknowledging anything involving the military, at least while you are still in.

As well as all of the risk involved with having someone place a tenant in your property for whom they benefit more from being a bad tenant than a good one.

I suppose you could get financing, but the logistics involved make this difficult.
