The 4187 could have been an extension to their tour or they requested to shorten it- either way they would have know they are short-timers and should have disclosed that It's been 4.5 years since I got out but if I remember correctly we get our orders 60 days (more if its a TRADOC station) from the date we have to report to the next duty station.
