Most of my DC properties are in Northwest DC except for one, the one in Northeast DC is two blocks away from the Rhode Island corridor redevelopment project, they are putting up 2,600 units (for sale Townhomes and Condos, for rent Senior, and regular Apartments, and Row homes) Target, Whole Foods, etc... the property has gone up $134k in 18 months, the affordable areas in DC just keep moving upward.   

Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Starbucks.- These companies have done a lot of market research and tend to be in nicer areas.
