These folks are not really investors - they are motivated by paying less than it would cost for their child to reside in residence - and tend to overpay for the properties they acquire.To perpetuate the cycle, after their prodigy has finished university, these same parents expect to resell the house - to which they have affected no upgrades and little maintenance - for 5-10% more than the price they paid.

It doesn't look good when you admit to getting huge benefits from a government program and then want to take away those benefits for others.Now, even if that doesn't become an issue, remember that Ryan voted for TARP, he voted for the auto bailouts, he voted for Medicare expansion, he voted for housing subsidies, he voted for unemployment extensions, he voted for a national ID, he voted for making the patriot act permanent, he voted for surveillance without a warrant, he voted fro no child left behind, he voted for keeping troops in Iraq indefinitely, and he voted for the 2008 and 2009 stimulus.And then he stands up and claims he's for smaller government, fewer handouts and less regulation.While there may be justifiable reason for it, the fact is, his record doesn't support his stated views...and that's never a good thing for a politician.

I haven't had to look at a printed bank account statement recently; last one I looked at from an applicant was to verify child support direct deposit, and she pulled up the online banking from her smartphone!

You might come to the realization that their paycheck is received on a different day or they receive some sort of payment (child support, alimony) on the 5th or something other than the 1st.

Holy cow, thats a poster child for dangerous ( and stupid ), if your correspondence was via email, so those puppies for any future issues.

Hi BiggerPockets Landlords,I just picked up a small fourplex in rural CA and after speaking to two of the tenants already on the phone, one speaks no English, so a child was translating for me.
