I would ask my lender (if you are obtaining a loan or may refi later) and I would ask my insurance carrier if an LLC changes things for them.  

I believe that if you establish a rapport with your postal carrier he/she will be able to assist you with vacant houses since they see them all the time.

@Katarzyna Lach many insurance carriers who insured properties in fire risk areas took such large losses over the past few years that they have pulled out of the marketplace.

Tim,Insurance Carriers will often limit coverage or not offer to renew coverage if they think that a claim or condition could signal a higher probability of a future loss. 

Reach out to other independent agents and see if they have any additional carriers that your primary agent does not have.
