Recent articles I have read online say that studies have been done and have shown much higher amounts of radiation if you live .3 miles away from a cell tower, which this place is located within that radius.

We plan to replace with tankless water heaters and in-unit high-velocity small duct central heat and air (using electric baseboard for the garden unit heat), and also remove all the radiators from the building.With the furnace and water heater removed, we would like to knock down the walls dividing the current furnace room, and make one larger rear, which is the bulk of the remodeling work to be done. don't not currently have drawings or architectural plans.

@Jim Adrian I guess it just depends on which internet site you choose as I found a few that definitely push vinyl over aluminum.That second link even says Vinyl comes with UV stabilizers that work to keep sunlight from breaking down materialhttps://www.stanekwindows.com/vinyl-vs-aluminum-wi...I just see info that aluminum frames are prone to corrosion, cost more, and act like radiators

When 80% of the properties have common laundry in the basement it is not something tenants are going to require.Same thing about radiators vs central HVAC - the cost is $15k a unit and it will not bump rents enough to justify the cost.
