By East do you mean cities/areas close to the Yosemite National Park entrances? 

@Jennifer Cooper I have been researching short-term rental (STR) investment properties in Oakhurst and Groveland, as both are near entrances to Yosemite National Park.

I have the 2 units already done with separate entrance (utilities are not separate). 

Here are 2 key factors to prepare yourself for your entrance into commercial realm:1.

However with that said, can you take square footage from somewhere else to create a hallway or create another entrance into the bedroom? 

But getting access to this community FOR LIFE is worth the price of entrance. 

*Note that we interchangeably use the labels: Lodging House = Rooming House = Single-Room Occupancy (SRO) = Co-Housing PropertyThe building has 3 kitchens and 4 full bathrooms, on 4 floors:3rd floor: The 3rdfloor is ‘off-limits’ to the 1st and 2nd floor tenants, so the two 3rd floor tenants enjoy the exclusivity of their own entrance, and a kitchen and bath shared only with one other unit, plus some distant ocean and Boston skyline views.2nd & 1st floors: Eleven units share 1 kitchen and 2 full bathrooms, one on each floor.

Some larger plants along the sidewalk/under the windows and some big potted plants around the entrance would help also!   

Middle of city, shovel ready with electric/water/sewer/roads/entrances, etc. 

Or a separate area of house with private entrance/exit?
