I've really enjoyed reading the expert blog articles and spending hours going through the forums.

While I have found that there are a lot of newbies at these meetings, there are also some very experienced people would enjoy talking 'shop'.

Maybe do some small flips here and there because I enjoy carpentry.

I really enjoyed the process of my first deal and would like to do another one sooner...If I get a mortgage on the house, I'll probably be looking at 3000+ in closing costs, which is a lot compared to the amount invested.

The LLC protects your IRA from outside exposure, as does the ERISA protection enjoyed by a 401K (ask OJ Simpson about that).To the degree that each asset is held by the same entity within each plan, all are vulnerable to inside creditors (i.e. your slip and fall example).
