Investing in the Las Vegas market or any market, making connections and networking are major keys.

There is a REIA group that meets in Branson and one in Overland Park Kansas - both would be good groups to join - maybe not to attend the monthly meetings, but to attend the weekend workshops they offer from time to time - well worth the cost of the event and a day spent in either city for a full day of networking and learning.In Kansas City  - there is a full day training workshop coming up on the 17th of September and the 22nd of October at MAREI

They have some speakers lined up and you can talk and network with other investors in the area. 

Generally speaking, you aren't going to reduce your tax liability just by going to an LLC from a sole proprietorship, but I would suggest you speak with a CPA that focuses in real estate so you can best plan your entity structure.Let me know if you have any other questions.

I'm small real estate investor looking to network with like-minded people around the Modesto, Stockton Area.

I am also interested in attending REI meetings in order to network as I presume it would be a great way to gain valuable information and key networking opportunities with some local buyers and investors as well as other wholesalers in my market.

Before you jump in, I suggest that you join a couple of local networking groups that strictly focus on multifamily to get a sense of what is happening in the multifamily market. 

If you have, say three buyers that are regularly buying 3 bedroom houses in zip code 12345 and you found a 3 bedroom house in zip code 12345 and were able to get it under contract at a price where the buyer will make their desired profit, you shouldn't have a hard time moving it.You can network with other wholesalers too. 

I am working with a local lender-actually a guy I know from volleyball is a mortgage broker so networking pays off again.
