@James Anderson I've been investing north of you in Palm Beach Gardens for the past 7 or 8 years.

Most of these folks were between 50-70 years of age, and had their own little gardening "happy space" that they would spend a lot of their time in, weather permitted.

Who pays for lawn/garden maintanance?  

And some of those condo buildings DO have a parking garage (indoor parking is a plus in South Florida) for their units.

The particular street is lined with these smaller (~1100 square foot) almost garden style SFRs but is part of a larger subdivision with slightly more owner occupant, traditional style, and slightly larger homes (~500+ more square footage) after you get past the smaller ones.

I guess it's unconventional, but we don't know if this sort of thing, since we do many garden projects, will affect our appraisal and inspection.Appreciate any insight!

The unit does have some issues such as no parking spot, garden level with a long dim hallway.

I just recently put in an offer on a 2-unit with a garden unit in the basement.

And we have only just started, because we still haven't taken account of property taxes, maintenance, property manager fees, the vacancy rate, repairs, gardening, principal repayments, mortgage application fees, appraisal fees, or spider proofing, to name just a few expenses.
