thanks Ed - it appears that state farm is the cheapest option for me for regular insurance, also compared to REI guard.

(but I make a little money on my own) (edit: Not much chance of getting a job here...even temporary agencys aren't eccepting people to sign up) I have $15,000 in CDs.

Edit: Another thing I will add is that everyone sooner or later learns from the mistakes they make, but if you can learn from other people's mistakes, you will have a great advantage.
