Does anyone have experience of setting up a STR while in the same position? 

A candid interview with 5 different sets of partners talking about their specific terms as far as responsibilities and costs would be a great show.

They don't understand how to price effectively, study the market, set boundaries with tenants, establish policies and procedures, communicate, and dozens of other things.

If you need income that'll be a certain set of options if you're trying to free up time and not be responsible for property management because you're planning to travel in retirement that'll be a different direction.
