In my opinion a single family stand alone without a Homeowner Association or no PUD has great advantages: you don't have to get permission to paint your house, no one tells you that you cannot have a basketball hoop out front, and the only authority for permits is city or county planning. 

So that can hamper them.And when i got this house finished and back on the market for 5 million we right away got an offer from another basketball player but he was only in his second year can needed us to finance a portion we passed.. but there you go spending more than you have.
