Sat on the market for 18 mo as people turned up their noses at the mustard yellow aluminum siding - which I can replace for about $6k when I get to it.

You'll see the fire-risk electrical panels, slab foundations issues, ungrounded electrical, aluminum wires, exhaust venting into attic, badly graded lots,   etc. and it will eventually not scare you as much. 

Our house was but in the 1920's, it had aluminum siding that had blown in insulation put in at some point and time. 

The property was aluminum siding and in Mississippi.

I am looking for a real estate agent in the area that would have  knowledge to assist in finding a short-term rental-friendly properties in the Poconos.We already own a couple long term rentals down in Southeastern Pennsylvania and are looking at this as a possible starting point for getting into the STR game, while also getting some personal enjoyment out of it since we like going up there.
