Hello Everyone,
A little about me...
I go by Ray, I am a 38 year old homeowner, father of 3 and happily married coming up on 10 years. Currently I manage a restaurant, which keeps me away from the important events/people in life, i.e. son's football games, daughter's b-ball games and my wife. I have worked for the same restaurant for about 20 years and frankly, I'm tired of running the rat race, basically living to work. I want a better quality of time: time with my family, time to build a legacy, time to enjoy life as I see fit, not as an occupation dictates.
BiggerPockets...
I have spent over a 150 hours of my free time researching real estate investing recently. I'm completely hooked on the BiggerPockets real estate podcast, it's all I listen to now, absolutely obsessed! I view real estate investing as an avenue to time freedom. I am elated there is a place to feed my yearn for knowledge from individuals that have experience in a field I am vehemently intrigued by. Although I have been studying my butt off, there is nothing like good old trial by fire, or learning first hand on from an experienced individual, so I welcome all feedback, advice and mentorship, thank you ahead of time.
Gameplan…
I am interested in building a plethora of passive income via multi-family rentals in Southeastern CT. Once established, I plan to expand into the rest of the Tri-state area. As of now the BRRRR strategy seems like a great fit for what I want to accomplish. Being a homeowner for a decade, I am quite handy, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, you name it I've probably done it around the house. Not to mention I have at least 1 relative in each of those trades will to lend a hand, so the first few rehabs shouldn't be that bad. I have equity in my current home plus some capital stacked for down payment and financing purposes. I was even considering a house hack for my first deal if the wife will go for it. Either way I believe I'm ready to get started, and I look forward to networking and hopefully collaborating with as much of this community as possible, for teamwork makes the dream work!
I am excited to work with you all, lets win together!
Thanks,
Ray
