I recently had an older (10 years or so) Honda Civic sold for about 5K; 10 years old, almost 100K kilometers on it, but easily could've done another 100K with the right mechanic and so on, always dealer serviced etc.5K (and on-going maintenance etc.) is a great price for a car that's still safe (had all the modern safety functions of ABS, airbags, etc. and even had A/C!).

The salesperson selling the work is required to hold a Home Improvement Salesperson License, the contractor performing the work is required to hold either a Home Improvement Contractor License or a General Contractor/Construction Manager license, and for home improvements (defined as: "This classification applies if you conduct any of the following: the repair, remodeling, alteration conversion or modernization of, or addition to, residential property, all as may be more particularly defined in the regulations."), there is a THREE day contract cancellation period.I'm always wary of the folks who can do the work "on the spot".

Is your current cabinets from the 60's, where cabinets are built in large section, or is it modern cabinets built by pieces?

They have many safety features, and modern tech that makes them very safe.Lastly, I will speak on personal experience.  

The problem is, it was built in the middle in 1958 so it’s not a modern one to leave up front.

Being 23 year's old and having a one in a million shot of funding froma VC or any kind of project backer, I've beat the system by using upcycled material that portrays a beautiful tiny modern day home that is strictly off grid with solar, thermal, hydro power as well as wind power!
