I have just started going to real estate events in Detroit and I am building a network of contractors, project managers, property managers, and mentors.

Maybe a different mentor is needed or maybe getting your RE license or getting a job with a RE company should be considerations.  

I know they mention training and mentor ship program have you used any of those services with them ?

For example, a mentor of mine says that mortgage lenders pulling your credit report will not ding your credit score but then the lender at US Bank I spoke to says it will.

But if you add in those other 8 doors you might be approaching the point where that portfolio might be able to support a junior full-time individual.

You don't hear about misrepresentation of neighborhood, level of work completed, rent prices, etc. with either of them.I mentor/mastermind with a lot of different companies out there so feel free to reach out if you have questions, but I would certainly reach out to each of those companies first.  

So far I have invested in two deals and want to propel myself with a mentor.

Perhaps asking for an mentor will help.
