I think too many realtors are too willing to push first-time home buyers in the direction of max amount they can afford versus is it a solid purchase value-wise (You'll hear a lot of, But look at the payment, it's only $35 more a month if you offer $x-thousand more, etc. -- those agents drive me nuts).
