The secret is out in our town and it's rare for anything that's worthwhile to make it all the way to the sale, and if it does, it'll get bid up high enough that there is very little meat on the bone, especially considering it has to be cash without a prior inspection.

A couple of questions to know if it is worthwhile:1.

buy now, in an over-heated and irrational market, betting on appreciation only, beholden to a higher-than-any-current-rent house payment and thinking that (any) home ownership - no matter the true cost - is better than renting and is the ultimate and worthwhile goal.
