I have a strong background in commercial and residential construction where I spent almost 20 years before re-inventing myself and now am a pediatric nurse practitioner. 

He pays me top-of-market rents, handles his own repairs and maintenance, and puts the units on different platforms or rents them out to travel nurses, etc.

Sure he can do it, but you can pay a nurse far less to do the same thing just as just as well or even better.My point is, you can take a trusted contractor with you to asses repair costs, and renovations.

First I am in school for Nursing.

I've had success renting to traveling nurses.

Master level certifications such as LCPC, LCSW are not legally allowed to write prescriptions and letters from these practitioners will not be accepted.

I’m curious if anyone here rents to travel nurse or medical staff and if you would recommend it?

Wife interested - not a ton but she can answer the phone when the property management company calls... shes a nurse and doesn't really like the idea of this kind of business responsibility.I think the only feasible way to continue investing in Fresno is to buy a few homes to rent out prior to BMT.
