I'm a first time homeowner as of last year in Tarrant County, TX and I'm wanting to protest my property's appraisal value.  

I posted this in another forum but I figured some of you in Tarrant county are dealing with the same issue:I'm a first time homeowner as of last year and I'm wanting to protest my property's appraisal value.

So much so that my last event was protested by Black Lives Matter.

Last purchase was cash and the WCAD sent someone to the door asking to be let inside....to look around....after years of me protesting that recent solds had stainless and granite vs my plain jane rentals to which they always replied that property interiors could not be used for appraisals.  

Notices of market and assessed values go out in the Spring and you typically can protest the valuation until May 15th.

This is a country you can vote and protest in, your level of participation options make so many in the world envious of your freedom. you can change things proven by history over and over.

MLK didn't come up with the idea of non-violent protest or equal rights - he gave people faith that if they took the walk, there would be others walking with them. 

We want to protest the increase, and we have experience protesting tax appraisals.
