Be a problem solver.  

A contractor is problem solver who knows how to keep projects moving despite all the challenges that come their way.Here is a small list of all things that can go wrong:- Contractor doesn't show up as scheduled.

You will encounter problems like you won't believe and must become a problem solver, especially a people problem solver.Remember, most would-be investors poop out and are luckily if they ever buy a single property or ever do a deal.

Instead of selling to people, how can you be a problem solver for your customers and investors? 

Also an engineering degree, at least in my view, shows credibility that you're a problem solver and a technical person.
