The whole area off Monroe road is exploding and being redefined as the MORA district, you wouldn’t recognize it. 

What's going on is a political thing - layers are useless and their advice is not worth much if the realtors effectively redefine the basis for the way the laws are interpreted, which is exactly what's going on.

Seriously, though you can get a "Non Contact Voltage Tester" for $20(name brand tool) from a home improvement store and only $6(cheap no name brand) at Harbor Freight tools....it is a very easy tool to use, that when you pass it over the black(hot) wire will light up and make a buzzing sound, if the line is hot/charged.But, as others have mentioned, you may do what I have suggested and the line appears uncharged, BUT, it is connected to a switch at a breaker box or wall switch that may accidentally be turned on and then create a very dangerous scenario.I personally do not like mystery electrical wires!

The other issue is freight.

I can't stress how frugal of a life I have lived or how far I have come given my options when I left home at 16, including but not limited to traveling other countries, places, volunteering, riding freight trains, and even hitchhiking across the country as well many other experiences that have shaped me. 

Generally we sit down with a bottle or 3 of wine at the start of the year and redefine where we want to get to.

Unfortunately the left side is close to freight train track and right side is close to power line.
