Being a tourist destination hotel taxes are a huge source of income for the city but at the same time it does not seem as though the city is completely against the idea either.

Not everybody wants to invest in Cleveland because, let's face it,....when have you EVER heard of anyone going on vacation in Cleveland....it is NOT a tourist destination and certainly does not have the appreciation in home values as almost anywhere else in the U.S.....What it does provide though is slow, steady, boring, gret cashflow.

I'm very early on, NOT actually engaged in searching for the a building today.My COH will be $500-800K, I want to be totally involved with every aspect of the transaction, the ownership.I will create a high-quality place to live, a destination to be desired.In your opinion:What are the questions I should be asking?

When you board the plane you must behave, otherwise you will get escorted out and not going to fly to your destination.

Decide where you would like to live/hang out and maybe send out "feelers"; visit that destination before you decide to move!

I really want to just have our immediate family and honestly do a destination somewhere like Thailand where we get an unreal experience for about a 3rd (or less) than what you'd get in the U.S....

Los Angeles would be my most preferred destination because who doesn’t love California?

I've seen it offered on cruises and in different locations like Costa Rica, Thailand, and France.Instead of doing it yourself, you can also join a real estate company that has offices all over the world and make your referrals that way. 

You live on it when needed, yet hire a captain to run sightseeing tours, dinner cruises, dive trips, etc. 

A specific community I have researched, Edens Edge, seems like a nice destination to me, but looking at mixed reviews I am unsure.
