She really has 0 interest in it and is not interested in using any of our money to do it unless we are completey out of debt (we're getting there but by that time it'll more than likely be too late to build the wealth I would like for us.

Someone mentioned a some what wealthy neighbor back in the days who was involved in real estate.  

But eventually I'd like to be wealthy just like anyone else...

LLC insurance  land trusts all those can be pierced if someone is going to do it and not stop.. but remember we do have to use logic here.plantiffs lawyers are only going to work on contingency if there is insurance and or the they REALLY think they can collect. so that means your very wealthy and your assets whatever they are  are easily identified. through LLC or what have you.Most tenants do not have the money for litigation.. end of that story.. and then it falls back to slumlording..

I've actually already had some of those conversations with independently wealthy people.

I'm not trying to get wealthy (although it'd be nice) I just like the idea of owning homes, and making money without having to physically work for it.

Magazine top 500 fastest growing companies, but think it is Fortune Builders, not CT homes(the flipping business) that seems to be making the money.If I was bringing in $15,000 to $25,000 times 100 people on average per event I would be damn wealthy too.

Well.....I am still in the rat race with the same employer, drive the same car, live in the same house, get my 3 weeks vacation a year, and I am still not rich or wealthy from real estate.
