We recently purchased a property that needed very little work and were going to pre-hab it and see what we could get on the open market or else keep as a rental if we couldn't get what we wanted (comps are very gray in the particular area the property was located).

@Hal Thompson is referring to the Due on Sale clause, which is triggered a property's ownership is transferred to an entity or individual not named as a guarantee on the mortgage.This is governed by the Garn-St Germaine act.You can transfer the property into a living trust, which names your company as the beneficiary.
