Last year it was 'just' 842 homes that were double-billed last-minute as much as 62% extra causing a mayhem of erroneous delinquencies through 2022 where the Treasurer recently pocketed millions from quickly selling off tax liens created by the inflated bills this February. It even billed a tax-exempt Nassau parish erroneously a 2nd year in a row for another half million in property taxes despite their grieving the first year's error, which seems took over a year to finally reverse the bill which added up to over a million dollars in erroneous taxes!
