Wondering if there are any regular meetups in the Chicago area for investors to get together, socialize, discuss strategy and maybe even stumble onto the next deal?

After looking around we stumbled upon a real estate agent who has a seller looking to sell four homes for $150k but the bank will only finance two, which is fine.All properties have tenants currently renting at $800 each.We don’t have an agent and we don’t know how to negotiate terms (we’re just winging it) to get the best possible deal for us.

I would be interested in learning about any meetups you might stumble across.

I really didn't know what I was doing but, to my luck (after an exhaustive search) I stumbled across an agent that did.

We kind of stumbled our way into buying a 2nd unit in a 6 unit building which is currently managed by an association.

I've been looking for a good real estate forum and stumbled upon this one which is very user friendly and has a large focus (if not all) on real estate investing.
