Then, they'll hit Craigslist for cheap furnishings.Personally, unless I was going to do AirBnB or short term rentals for traveling nurses, etc., I'd only offer unfurnished, so I didn't have to deal with storing stuff they didn't want.I don't know where your rentals are, but another thing to consider is if you can ask for a bigger deposit for furnished rentals - and if that's important to you.

"I'm not prepared to do that"... when a tenant asks for something that I'm not inclined to do.Consider how many people die in retirement homes, nursing homes, hospice centers, hospitals, battle fields, and city streets, let alone in private homes.

@Dan Bosak We looked into something similar to what you're proposing - our idea was to hire a local medical answering service (the kind that can decide if the nurse's after-hours phone call warranted a page to the doctor on call).

But, if you could rent to law students, med students, traveling nurses - you'd have way less chances of a horror show regarding cleanliness.See if there's a way to avoid undergrads, at least, is my advice.

You wouldn't not rent to someone because they have a nurse so you shouldn't disqualify someone because they have a service animal.
