My goals in real estate investing are humble, but my partner is aggressively seeking to invest as quickly as possible, so we will see if that influences me at all.  

Jobs tend to be a bit better due to the influence from Boeing and the ancillary businesses that have grown up around it.

Where you live probably has some influence on rates, but it also depends on who is doing the work within the firm, how reputable they are, etc.

That's because people with money and influence don't want that mess making their neighborhoods like crap.

And since there's absolutely no proof anywhere that the hotels do this better than str investors, and the development of tourism and even the City TOT is benefiting from it,  why voting these laws if not under the influence of the lobbies?

No one on the outside has any influence over that.

A little background about what influenced the move, after graduating high school I went to community college for engineering, criminal justice, and business.

It's a great talking point to call your sphere of influence and past clients.  

Your SOI (sphere of influence) won't be much help for purchasing for a while, but let them know you can help them with rentals so when they think of real estate they think of you.

There's definitely something different meeting in person than online, you get to use charm and influence which you can't really do online.
