So we had a target market, but with everything happening in the world it seemed daunting to get started, and there were many excuses and limiting beliefs that almost got in the way...With the ongoing pandemic, how could we get to our target market to meet people and make deals happen? 

I think many people have felt it during the pandemic, which is why we are seeing so many changes in the workforce.

@Michael Helfant I am in NJ near NYC area so the prices in this area were already high prior to the pandemic.

I feel like the cost of materials (lumber/steel is not cheap), the pandemic, labor shortages to build, etc., all play into this.

It depends on politicians, Pandemics, weather, etc. no model can predict it. 

I haven't bought anything new since the pandemic. 

RE: commercial real estate- the pandemic devastated the brick & mortar economy. 

In the middle of a pandemic, we quit jobs that we didn’t love, sold our condo in downtown Chicago, and moved back home closer to family.

It's no secret the market here blew up during the pandemic. 

I have now been investing in real estate since the pandemic in mid-2020 and have gotten the hang of analyzing deals as well as actually adding SFRs from Memphis, TN to my portfolio.
