Not letting people contact us using ephemeral, or even faked, caller ID's, or anonymous and spoofed emails (the opposite of anonymity), etc. is how we best protect privacy.

I do have a US phone number on Skype on which I talk to realtors, cash buyers etc so callers will only pay the US domestic rates, not international, so that at least is not an obstacle.

I just got off the phone with the 2nd caller - she advised they were going to do a deed of lieu with b of a and bofa advised them the DOL didnt go through and they've been locked out of the house for 2 years.

You should have a business number at which a message can be left or (if you wish) forwards to your cell while giving you the option of taking the call or sending to voicemail after learning who the caller is.
