I own a roofing company in Denver and a separate gutter company there too. 

So many population/job growth/companies moving and developing here - Intel headquarters, Google, FB, Amazon, Nationwide, Honda, Anduril etc.

That said, if you are working for a company that does not allow real estate in their 401(k) setup (most dont allow) then I can see where you might look at where is best to put my hard earned dollars. 

Your mortgage company gets paid off first and then it's up to the homeowner to secure a construction loan to rebuild.
