Hi, my name is Mike Smoke, and I'm an aspiring real estate investor focusing on multifamily and Section 8 properties in the U.S. as the barrier to entry is much much lower in terms of price compared to Canada and Funding options. I'm passionate about creating secure, long-term housing solutions that balance tenant stability with strong returns. My strategy incorporates asset protection measures like LLCs, specific trusts as well as professional property management to spread risk and ensure quality operations.
As well as using tax codes to my benfiit
Section 179, IRC Section 162, Cost Segregation and Bonus Depreciation and later 1031 them out for larger projects. 

I’m drawn to real estate not just for financial freedom but to build a legacy for my family while contributing positively to communities. I’m new to the space but eager to learn from experienced professionals, expand my network, and find opportunities to collaborate.

Be careful when you select entity types.

A pass-through entity in the United States, such as an LLC, may not hold the same characteristics in Canada.
