@Chris Blackburn, while I can't speak to this specifically, there are a few red flags I see in your post.1: A Realtor has to be a member of the national association of realtors, an industry trade group primarily focused on your typical home buyer.  

Would connecting him with a mentor or having him shadow someone in the industry be too soon?

Each one of the above examples are very different businesses and take different types of leaders.

I am specifically looking at a 1985 Connor Industries home.

People were chasing industrial workers on the LNG projects in 2020 and paying outrageous rates for rental housing. 

Facebook starting Libra is huge for the industry.

At the end of the day, 5% of $80 is more than 2.5% of $100 and the fee models used in the industry will sometimes lead the listing agent's to go from being the seller's advocate to the buyers.
