That was not a bluff, I evict people and they become homeless all the time.Now, I've seen everything.....or have I?

Ghettos are generally lower income areas with high rates of unemployment and people on fixed incomes (disability, social security, etc) lower property values, lower rated schools, poorly maintained properties, empty lots and an overabundance of churches, nail/hair/barber shops and liquor stores.Warzones typically embody all the elements of a ghetto but also include overt gang activities, prostitution, drug dealing/using and lots of vagrants/homeless people.

It's relatively common, for example, to see folks get large reductions on outstanding medical debt (often a big one for the poor and homeless) with a simple phone call.

So I am trying to find ways to help them and do some communities for homeless veterans because I have been there too.

It's systemic too, a homeless encampment would *NEVER* fly in the neighborhood where I live; but the city let one stay for over two years by my apartments.

The downtown was a neglected venue of closed-up shops, dilapidated brick buildings, and homeless/vagrants. 

That's sickening.You sound like those good-hearted people who confidently proclaim that "many people are homeless through no fault of their own."

We are master leasing to a non-profit that sublets to people that were recently homeless and because of the way their grants are written the are unable to pay for utilities directly.

A few months ago I partnered with a college friend to build microhomes for the homeless.
