I spent about 10 years volunteering as a Red Cross disaster relief volunteer and about 5 years as a CASA volunteer.

That rental (Casa Sea Spell) was a run down LTR with great bones when we bought it, so we fixed it up and will double our money when ready to flip out in the longterm.

I know a few other Bay Area investors buying in the Vegas area and Phoenix (Casa Grande).

Thursday in Austin is Casa Chapala day....I'll try to dig up some more of what is happening.

We have a great inspector we used for the one-year inspection on our own house (new construction) but he's usually pretty booked and he's all the way out in Casa Grande.

Same holds true for the smaller, cheaper Arizona cities: Casa Grande, Yuma, Sierra Vista...As many have mentioned foreclosures are at an all-time low nationally and locally, so direct marketing is a good approach.

Several months back I contacted the number listed on one of the signs down here in Casa Grande.
